The Hunger Games
So, there might be some debate about whether Coraline really is the best movie EVER, but we can't deny that The Hunger Games, the book, was probably both a modern classic and a gift to societies everywhere right? So I've decided to make a Hunger Games page, I mean I've made ever other page, so why not something that is as amazing as this? Anyways, the movie, although it was quite fantastic, was still second on the list, losing to the ultimate movie of our time, Super 8!
All about the Hunger Games!
Hey guys, so this is an article by my friend Katie, and as it says in the title it's all about the Hunger Games.
As you know, I am a huge fan of the Huger Games, Suzanne Collins really knows how to write a book. And even after the books, there was going to be a movie! Just more to look forward to, right? But with a book like the Hunger Games, there are so many ways to mess up the movie! I was nervous to see it all week up until the real thing started. The second I saw how well they cast Katniss, how similar the reaping was to my imagination, and how transfixing the final scenes were, I knew I has no reason to worry. Even the day after the screening, my brain still hummed with activity, remembering wild moments. Rue dying, Glimmer getting pelted by tracker jackers, and me holding my breath in anticipation when Katniss and Peeta were chased by the mutts, even though I knew how it ended. I was extremely impressed at how Gary Ross, the director made the movie it's best.
But now, we have another problem. I don't know how or why, but Gary Ross will not be directing the sequel in the series, Catching fire. I thought in my head it couldn't be that bad...... but I knew that from they would start filming in the fall I would be anxious again. I wouldn't be calm until I saw Catching Fire. But sometimes it's not such a bad thing. Sometimes it makes you appreciate the outcome of the movie more, good or bad.
So, in conclusion, I would DEFINITELY recommend the Hunger Games!
